As a new homeowner, I'm very much at a limited budget. That's not to say I'm cheap. I'd gladly pay more if I know I'm getting a good service.In comes Friendly Plumber who was recommended by my co-worker. I needed to remodel my dated kitchen and I expected a lot from this company because of the high accolades. Checking other review sites, they seem to be pretty reliable too.Anyway, I wasn't disappointed. The guy came on time. He finished the job even before my very tighttimeline. He was nice, and I know I got a good price.

I called about a stopped up drain and I was also told that I might want to contact one of those drain cleaning companies -- the ones with Rooter with its name because they have coupons in the Yellow Pages for $35 for my type of problem. The woman who answered the phone was honest enough to say that those companies have better equipment than them when it comes to stopped up drains, that they have industrial, heavy duty machines that would flush out the stopped up stuff with water, without harming my home's pipes. Also, that if they send their plumber, I would more than likely pay more just because they have plumbers working with them, not drain cleaners. It is refreshing to hear such professional cutomer service, and honesty from a plumbing company. No wonder they're really reputable.

Friendly Plumber first worked for me in 2001, when they replaced our water heater. They have served us well, coming to fix problems almost immediately ever since. Last year, I bought a house in the Sunset to rent-out and I have once again hired Friendly Plumber to replace the pipes for this house.I am comfortable in the knowledge that I'm getting the best plumber I can afford in the city, and that my project will be handled in a prompt, expedient and professional manner. We've been working with Friendly Plumber for 10 years now. And I think I've pretty much referred all my friends to them too.My partner and I own rental property in the Sunset and we have given our tenants his direct line already since we know that Friendly Plumber really cares about what they do. The quality of work is there, very professional, and trustworthy in doing just what needs to be done and no sneaky extras, because they know exactly at what position we're in.We're sticking with this company for at least another 10 years, no doubt.

My boyfriend found Friendly Plumber for me and I'm glad for that! The plumber was professional, came on time, and very knowledgeable about our Franke faucet, which another plumber had already given up on and told me to pretty much just throw away.The plumber also cleaned up after himself which was a big plus.

I called because of my plugged up toilet and was told by the receptionist that their earliest availability in 1-1/2 weeks.  Argh!  She also said that I'd get faster response by calling a rooter type company because that's their specialty, plus they'll be CHEAPER too. Huh?  What?  Was that HONESTY I just heard?  She added that their plumbers are too skilled to do that kind of work, but rooter companies staff entry level technicians, which totally makes sense.I'm definitely calling them later this year for my bathroom remodel.  And give that receptionist a raise, Friendly Plumber.  She's alright.

I had Friendly Plumber install a sink that I bought from Ikea.  It turned out that my sink was missing a few pieces. The plumber that came to our house was great. He supplied us with the missing parts without giving us a hard time. He was very professional and courteous.

Not an outside hired operator type, but an actual, professional employee, who promptly told me how to shut-off my water heater temporarily, until they can fix it the next day.Let me see, I didn't have to blow my Friday dealing with a plumbing problem and the guy I spoke with, Robert, even came the next day and I wasn't charged a special "Saturday" rate or anything!Kudos to Friendly Plumber.

I live with my entire extended family, including my mom and my grandmother. Last week, our hot water heater started turning on and off by itself and finally last Wednesday, it completely stopped working and spilled water all over our basement.Only my grandma was at home and everyone else were at work at the time, but luckily my neighbor was home and saw water gushing out of our garage. Well, he called me at work and since I didn't know that this is even a plumbing problem, he told me that I should call Friendly Plumber.While still at work, I was able to give my neighbor the code to our alarm and the two of them found out that the water heater has succumbed to its death, and we need a new one. Plus also a cleaning crew to take care of the flood.Friendly Plumber referred an emergency restoration service to me which I think is a good deal at $200 and he installed a brand spanking new water heater, all in the same afternoon.

Great company! Friendly Plumber went above and beyond for me when I was renting in 2005. On a Friday night, PG&E shut-off my gas (their error BTW). The plumber I spoke to was on his way home, and seeing as I was about to freeze the entire weekend long, he advised me exactly how to handle the problem and offered several solutions for me.More recently, I called them again for my own house this time and had the occasion to use their service again on a less dramatic problem. Just a busted toilet. As always, the plumber who showed up was professional and did not pressure me to upgrade to a better model just because he could sell me on it.A+ all the way!

I discovered this company through this site and what a GREAT find! The plumber got there when he said he would, and the price was I thought pretty fair considering this was 8:30am on a Saturday.My water heater was leaking water everywhere and since my husband was out of town, I thought I should just open my wallet and give all its contents to the first plumber who walks through my door. Any plumber, anybody!Shockingly, the plumber was courteous, professional, and even cleaned up the entire mess. He didn't have to do this, but I thought it was a nice touch. Good recommendation, fellow reviewers. Thanks for helping me avert what could have been a very ugly and expensive mess :)

My kitchen faucet sprung a leak the other day. Literally "sprung a leak", right at my eye.I called Friendly Plumber and Robert was on time, at my door, the same day. Detail oriented, he showed me the part that caused the leak, and replaced it without a hitch in under an hour - now that's professional!I really resent paying for house expenses since I'd rather party with my extra money, to be perfectly honest. I feel I was charged a good price and was treated nicely, so I'm cool with this company.

I was referred to Friendly Plumber by my neighbor when my kitchen sink, bathtub and sewer backed up. I got several bids for the job and became convinced that I should try to find a company who offers the pipe replacement without disturbing the ground. After talking with Robert, he told me that the city doesn't always allow that type of plumbing since it¿s not to code and it would never pass inspection. Strange, the other plumber before him said that he does it all the time in the city and he highly recommends it. I called the city inspector¿s office to get a final ruling, and I was told with all authority that yes, in my area, that was definitely not allowed. Can you believe this? What if I went with that guy and in the end my job wouldn't pass?Anyway, I called Friendly Plumber again and Robert was able to re-route the path of the pipes to avoid having to dig-up my ultra-cool espaliered apple tree. He was very professional throughout the entire process and I'm very thankful.

Friendly Plumber is great. Very professional.  The plumber showed up maybe 10 minutes early for the appointment and gave me a detailed written estimate on the spot. I wanted to have the job done immediately since my water heater was kaput, so the plumber called their office to order the heater and for more parts to additionally repair my bathroom sink faucet. A little over 30 minutes later, another truck pulled in front of my house with my new water heater. The guy at my house installed it and repaired my faucet, at exactly the same price I was quoted.   I also instructed on what I should consider in the future to bring the rest of the plumbing in my home up to date to avoid emergencies, and I am confident at his level of expertise as my faucet works really, really well now.

Prompt, honest, and fast. Friendly was flexible enough to come at a later time when my partner and I were running late getting home for the appointment. The plumber did a fine job replacing our old kitchen sink. It was a tough and dirty job, and I really commend his professionalism for toughing-out the long day without any grumbling. The price I paid was fair in my estimation, and it was nice that it came at $80 less than what I was originally quoted. I would definitely recommend the company to a friend.

I became ill, was out of town for a couple of years, and my house started to have some problems with my deck and my plumbing. My neighbor called up the city and complained and they red tagged my house saying it was uninhabitable, so I had to call up a plumber, and a general contractor to fix all these problems. My neighbor is suing me because of plumbing problems and a lot of them didn't want to work on the job. Friendly Plumber not only said that they would work on the job, but they knew how to handle difficult situations in a professional manner. They replaced a 30' long sewer, 8' deep, all the way out to the street. They had backhoes, the plumbing inspector and the cement guy, all in 1 day. I was blown away! After all the headaches I was having in years, they solved it in 1 day. Since they knew everybody in the city, they all kind of got on my side and said they would all go to court for me to prove I am not at fault. These guys are total professionals!

Our toilet backed last Friday and so I immediately searched for a plumber. Found Friendly Plumber's good reputation and when I spoke to the receptionist, I was referred to another drain cleaning company, who I was unable to reach, so I called Friendly again. I was told that alternatively, I or someone handy I know can also rent a snake from Home Depot, and it'll solve the problem too. $44 got it done. Thanks for being professional and not hanging up on me, and for all your help!

The gentleman from Friendly Plumber did a great job for me. He was very professional, diagnosed my sewer problem quickly and then fixed it quickly as well. Yes, the "Friendly" experience was not an inexpensive one. However, I think he realized as much and did not try to weasel me out of my money either. The project was well detailed in writing so I knew exactly what I was being charged, and the exact terms of the transaction. I liked the guarantee on all the work done and that I had no obligation to proceed with the job in the first place just because he looked at our sewer main. Throughout the project, the plumber and the office support I received have been highly professional, which was impressive for such small, local operation.
